Psychology is a fascinating yet challenging and academic subject, Psychology will allow you to study psychological theories and how they can be applied in everyday life such as why we dress the same as our friends and why do we forget some things but remembers others. It also allows you to gain an understanding of what goes on in other people's minds and why they behave as they do. So if you are interested in what makes others 'tick' this is a subject for you.

Summary This specification is designed to:

AS outline At AS, candidates will develop a broad knowledge and understanding of the core topics of modern Psychology.

A2 outline At A2, a student will study the popular child development options and candidates are offered various applied options. The debates section provides the opportunity for extension work and high-level discussion:

    With further training, you could go into a job related to Psychology and people such as a Counsellor, Nurse or Psychologist.
