Admissions

Lord's school is a selective independent day school
for boys and girls. We care for 90 pupils between
the ages of 11 and 16 years.

To gain a place at the school, a pupil must first sit the Entrance Examination. A satisfactory examination will result in each pupil being called in for an individual interview with the Head Teacher or Principal.

Before each pupil can been accepted their primary school Head Teacher will be asked to submit a confidential report on each pupil.

An offer of placements will follow this procedure.

We have found that the results of our test in English (testing comprehension questions and story writing) and in Mathematics (basic arithmetic and problem solving) gives a good indication of how the pupil will progress and flourish at Lord's.

We do understand that sitting an entrance examination can make some pupils uncomfortable and tense so we try to make this morning an enjoyable one.
